Governor Nyesom Wike has assured that his administration would overcome some security challenges currently facing the state.Governor Wike in his remarks as a special guest at the Mercyland Living Bible Ministry in Port-Harcourt noted that his administration
has made reasonable progress in the area of security despite the politicization of security of the state.We shall overcome security challenges in Rivers state- Gov. Wike The governor represented by the Chief of Staff Government House Emeka Woke said as a responsible government it is currently tackling some pockets of security challenges in the state.The Chief of Staff Government House Emeka Woke also said the Nyesom Wike led government since assuming office had embarked on people oriented programmes to alleviate the sufferings of the people.Meanwhile, the suspension of four Commissioners by Governor Nyesom Wike is still generating reactions.A former Chairman Caretaker Committee of Gokana local government and facilitator of the Ogoni Generation Next Project Kadilo Kabari in his reaction demands explanation from the governor for the suspension of the Commissioner for Finance Fred Kpakol and the Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs John Bazia.
He said the group is worried that Ogonis serving in the PDP led government of Rivers State are always affected by the sanction of the governor.
