Many people were killed and about 4 houses razed after a petrol tanker exploded at Upper Mission junction along the Benin-Auchi express road in Edo state this morning.
About four weeks ago, a similar incident happened in Lagos, where a petrol tanker exploded at Cele bus stop along the Mile2-Oshodi Expressway. The federal government of Nigeria, the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), oil marketers as well as other major stakeholders in the oil industry should find a lasting solution to the incessant oil tanker explosion on major roads in the country, in order to nip the incident of lost of lives and properties in the bud.
