Captain ELECHI AMADI’s burial committee: RSG and family disagree

The Rivers State Government has inaugurated a committee to oversee the burial of late literary icon Captain Elechi Amadi. Governor NYESOM WIKE while inaugurating the thirteen member state burial committee for late Captain Elechi Amadi described the late literary icon as a
nationalist.Responding, the Chairman of the State Burial Committee FRANK OWHOR assured that the committee will be diligent in its assignment.Our correspondent reports that the committee is headed by a legal practitioner FRANK OWHOR Meanwhile, the family of late Captain ELECHI AMADI has rejected the composition of a state burial committee by Governor NYESOM WIKE.The position of the family was made known to our correspondent by the immediate younger brother of the late writer VALENTINE AMADI.
The immediate younger brother of late Captain Elechi Amadi also said the family of the late Captain is not aware of the burial plan and committee set by the State Government for the late writer.
