ASUU threatens another round of nationwide strike
Indications have emerged that university lecturers in Nigeria may soon embark on another round of strike nationwide.This indication was given by Lagos chapter of the Academic Staff of Universities Union ASUU.ASUU threatens another round of nationwide strike .Chairman of ASUU in Lagos State Professor OLUSIJI SOWANDE said the federal government has failed
to resolve issue that has been affecting the lecturers.The UNILAG Chairman of ASUU Professor OLUSIJI SOWANDE said the federal government has over the years refused to implement the 2009 agreement reached with university lecturers.He did not however state when ASUU will likely begin the nationwide strike.
Meanwhile, The pains and sufferings the people are going through following the one month old strike by resident doctors of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital UPTH is given the management of the hospital; sleepless night.
Chief Medical Director of the UPTH AARON OJULE is now calling on the striking resident doctors to return to work.
The Chief Medical Director of UPTH AARON OJULE said the call has become necessary as government is looking into the complaints of the striking resident doctors.
Professor OJULE said the hospital is facing challenges following the strike by the resident doctor.
